Your Halifax Mooseheads will face the Moncton Wildcats in Round 2 of the QMJHL Playoffs!
The Wildcats went the distance last night and beat the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 5-4 in overtime with Maxim Barbashev the OT hero for the Cats in New Brunswick at The Cage.
Moncton and Baie-Comeau set a new Q League record with 5 overtime games in the series totaling 27 periods!
It’s great to see these two Maritime rivals now face off in the playoffs.
Halifax swept the Cape Breton Eagles in four straight last week in the Battle of Nova Scotia playoff edition. Games 1 and 2 with Moncton are this Friday and Saturday nights here in Moose Country.
The Herd has won the last five games against the Cats.
