A 27-year-old faces multiple charges after attacking two people with a knife, fleeing the scene, and hiding out from police.
HRP first responded to a disturbance at an apartment on Roleika Drive in Dartmouth at around 10:30 am. Friday morning. They say the suspect assaulting two people in the apartment while wielding the knife, and left before police arrived. He escape to a house on the 100 block of Dartmouth’s Slayter Street where police found his vehicle shortly thereafter.
The area was contained and police advised the public to avoid the area while they conducted an investigation.

Officers conducted an initial search of the residence but could find the suspect. They managed to locate him during the second search of the house.
He is currently facing the following charges:
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon (x2)
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
- Operation of a conveyance while prohibited
- Failing to comply with conditions of a release order
