Toyota and Honda/Acura are recalling 6 million vehicles worldwide, due to a couple of different air bag hazards.
The Toyota recall affects a little over 3 million vehicles globally and is because the air bags may not inflate in a crash.
Honda’s recall covers almost 3 million vehicles in the U.S. and Canada with Takata inflators that could cause air bags to blow apart a metal canister, hurling shrapnel at drivers and passengers.
The auto companies will contact owners by mid-March.
