Congratulations to Gord Dwyer on his 1000th game that he reffed in The NHL.
It all began for Gord in the local Lower Sackville and area rinks, he climbed the ladder to the QMJHL and eventually to the big league.
My son Drake has been refereeing for eleven seasons climbing the ranks and Gord is an inspiration to all upcoming young hockey officials in Nova Scotia proving that a kid from here can make it to the NHL.
Congrats Gord and here’s to many more years wearing the # 19 zebra stripes from Hot Country 1035!
