A review is in order for the Nova Scotia teacher’s pension plan after it was learned the deficit grew last year. In 2017 it was $1.4B but last year it climbed to $1.6 billion. A legal expert from Toronto has been called in to help bring the number back down to a healthier deficit.
10 people have been arrested in the past week in Fairview and Dartmouth after they were caught selling cannabis illegally. Police found over one kilogram of cannabis at Doug’s Place on Alma Crescent and over 2 kilograms at the Atlantic Compassion Club Society on Main Street. All of the suspects are scheduled for court.

Police are looking for the driver of a white 4 door sedan after a hit and run last week. A 20 year old woman was crossing Robie Street in a marked crosswalk around 9:00AM Thursday when she was hit by a car turning right from Inglis Street. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
