The Montreal Canadiens hockey team has been showing their appreciation for Montreal’s medical professionals every evening in the most fitting way possible: with a nightly “stick tap salute” to healthcare heroes.
Tapping hockey sticks is a longstanding tradition in hockey as a way to show respect on the ice. The Habs have been using that same method to acknowledge — and make some noise for — the city’s medical community for the tireless work they’re doing to keep Montrealers healthy and safe.
Canadiens owner Geoff Molson got the ball rolling. Veteran forwards Paul Byron and Phillip Danault were quick to follow suit. And Victor Mete gave props from his backyard.
So let’s do our part tonight and do some Nova Scotia stick taps for all of our healthcare heroes and front line workers, THANK YOU for all you are do from Hot country 1035!
Ian
