It’s time to burn off some of those Christmas calories and lace-up those skates once again as the Halifax Oval offers FREE public skating throughout holiday season and beyond.
Equipment loans are to be available with helmets and skates in limited quantities at no cost for use at the oval with a government-issued ID.
Helmets are mandatory for children 12 years of age and younger.

So sharpen those blades for the Halifax Common skate track that was created when we hosted the 2011 Canada winter Games.
I can’t wait to hit the ice again, it’s great exercise and I usually get 12 to 15 laps in per visit before getting dizzy, then I hit the hot chocolate!
