For the 10th time in his career, Nova Scotia’s Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has been chosen to go to the NHL All-Star Game February 3rd in Toronto.
Sidney is in the middle of yet another awesome season as captain of the Pens and it’s that play that has earned him the right to once again represent his team at the All-Star Game.
The Pens tweeted out: “Simply Sidsational!”
“Sid the Kid” is still playing like a kid at 36 years of age and had the game winner Thursday night with his 22nd goal of the season in a 6-5 win over Hammonds Plains native Brad Marchand and the Boston Bruins.
The NHL is in the midst of revealing the first 32 names heading to the 2024 All-Star Game, and Sid has been chosen as the Penguins’ first representative.
Way to go Sid!
Photo above is when I got to meet Sid for the first time after announcing the Pens and Ottawa Senators game here in Halifax last October 2nd at the Scotiabank Centre. It was a thrill to introduce Sidney to the sold-out crowd.
