A Nova Scotia flag that flew across Canada as part of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds’ “Operation Inspiration” is now being auctioned off in memory of Halifax’s Captain Jennifer Casey.
Corporal Matt MacKenzie of Truro is a technician who flies with the Snowbirds decided to put the flag on eBay in honour of his friend and co-worker.
Jenn was huge dog lover and loved all animals.
Matt says “I’m just trying to do something right for Jenn and on behalf of her, it’s all about doing something positive in her name, because she would have done any of this for any of us in a heartbeat,” and will be donating the entire proceeds of the flag to the Nova Scotia SPCA in her memory.
As of this morning, the bids have already topped $4,500!
