Over the past 43 years, many children in Bras d’Or, Cape Breton may not have gotten their letters from Santa if it wasn’t for 64 year old Billy Brennick.
Brennick, who is often simply called ‘Billy from Bras d’Or,’ retired from Canada Post last Friday, after working for the organization since graduating in 1977 from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, where he received a bachelor of arts in literature and mathematics.
He’s known for his loyalty, his great customer service. He was greatly respected by his peers. He was the go to guy.
Born and raised in Bras d’Or, where he still lives, Billy’s job gave him the opportunity to see people in the community grow up, something he really enjoyed.
Now he plans to do some travelling around Cape Breton with his partner of 14 years, but doesn’t have specific plans as of yet. He just wants to relax and enjoy some down time.
Congrats on your retirement Billy Brennick from Hot Country 1035!
