HRM Police Officer Phil Power who was off-duty last week, ended up saving a seniors life.
Phil was at the Mic Mac Bar and Grill in Dartmouth having supper when he was alerted that a lady was choking.
Phil could see a woman had lost consciousness and people were trying to help her, so Phil, being trained in life-saving techniques, says he sprang into action and took charge.
He used CPR and his training to revive the person in her 70’s.
Speaking with Phil on Sunday just before the Mooseheads Billet Family ceremony, Phil said he was just glad to help out and was pretty humble about saving a life.
Phil is also a Billet to Halifax Mooseheads player # 8 Jack Martin.

Many years ago Phil was “Phanatical Phil” during the Mooseheads games, pumping up the fans in the stands and now he’s a HRM Police Officer and life saver.
So proud of you my friend!
