This will make Nova Scotia’s own Jillian Saulnier and Blayre Turnbull happy!
The International Ice Hockey Federation has confirmed Halifax and Truro will host the 2021 women’s world hockey championship.
When the tourney was here back in 2004 Jill of Halifax and Blayre from Stellerton were young girls dreaming of playing in the world women’s.
The tournament was originally scheduled for March 31st to April 10th here and was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new proposed dates for the 2021 championship are April 7th to 17th.
