It was awesome to get caught up with our close friend Jojo Mason on Friday in his third Hot Country Hangout!
Jo Jo played his hit’s like “Let Me Down Easy,” “Broken Umbrella,” and Better on You.”
We chatted about the NHL playoffs and he’s picking Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche to win the Stanley Cup! He said when he watches the Colorado games they lose, but when he does not watch the games, the Avs win!

We exchanged rings for about 12 minutes when I gave him my Mooseheads Championship ring and Jojo gave me his wedding ring from his wife Chanel.

One of the perks of radio is becoming friends with the musicians we play on-air.
When I started at Hot Country 1035 in 2016, Jojo was starting his music career. He would co-host with Dana Thompson and I on our morning show.
Friday, Jojo said backstage we were “his ‘light’ to stick with his music journey.” Thanks brother, that meant a lot.
