This week we highlight 9 day old Celine with a special message from the Bide Awhile Animal Shelter through Furbaby Friday on Hot Country 103.5fm.
Celine is a 10-day old kitten who is the sole survivor of her litter.
Her mother, Reba, came to Bide Awhile as a very young, pregnant mom, and gave birth to four kittens while at the shelter. Sadly, because Reba is so young, she was not able to care for the babies and Celine is now a bottle baby in foster with one of the shelter’s staff members.
Celine is fed every two and a half hours around the clock, even throughout the night! Her little eyes just opened on Monday and she’s now weighing in at a whopping 7 oz.
It’s that reason that Celine’s message is that of having your cat spayed or neutered.
One unspayed female can turn into 53 cats in just 16 months.
