Willie Nelson has released a new animated video for his political anthem “Vote ‘Em Out.” The country icon originally released the song before the 2018 midterm elections, and performed it then at a rally for Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke’s senate campaign. This new animated video illustrates the power of voting, a match for the lyrics:
“If it’s a bunch of clowns you voted in / Election day is comin’ ‘round again / If you don’t like it now / If it’s more than you’ll allow,” Nelson sings. “If you don’t like who’s in there / Vote ’em out. Nelson co-wrote “Vote ‘Em Out” with Buddy Cannon, and his sons Lukas and Micah are also on the track.
