Mike Savage has helmed his last Halifax Regional council meeting before this month’s municipal election.
The session was held over Zoom Tuesday because the chamber at City Hall is being prepared for the new council.
Savage, who has served for three terms as mayor, announced he would not be reoffering in February.
He has described his 12 years leading the HRM as the best job he’s ever had.
There are 16 mayoral candidates running in the October 19th election.
