Several brands of organic carrots are being recalled in Canada due to E.coli contamination.
The move was triggered by a recall in the United States where one person died and about 40 became ill after consuming the affected products.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued its recall on Monday, warning people not to consume the carrots.
Compliments and President’s Choice are among the recalled brands.
Check your fridge for whole carrots sold between August 14th and October 23rd. Recalled baby-cut carrots had best-before dates from September 11th to November 2nd.
No illnesses have been reported in Canada.
