Your Halifax Mooseheads begin Round 2 of the QMJHL playoffs tonight against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in Quebec on the road.
Games 3 and 4 are here in Moose Country next Tuesday and Wednesday, April 15th and 16th. With game 5 if necessary next Friday, April 18th in Halifax as it’s a 2-3-2 series just like with Drummondville in Round 1, to help with travels costs.
These two teams have had some huge tough battles over the years and this post season matchup marks their fifth postseason series in hockey history.

Most recently it was the Huskies lifting a couple of championship trophies on Scotiabank Centre ice as the Mooseheads fell at home in 2019, losing both the President Cup Finals in six games before dropping 4-2 to Rouyn-Noranda in the Memorial Cup Final. That still stings…
Both teams this regular season had overtime wins, so expect another tight series from this young Mooseheads squad, that is the youngest in fifty years in the Q League.
Game 1 is tonight at 8pm and Game 2 is tomorrow at 5pm Halifax Atlantic time.
The Mooseheads gathered last night for a nice meal and some team bonding.

See ya at the rink next week and Go Moose Go!
