Five people were taken to hospital after a carbon monoxide incident at a Dartmouth apartment building.
According to Halifax Professional Firefighters on Facebook, a patient at Dartmouth General Hospital had elevated levels in their blood.
That prompted staff to call firefighters to the scene early Sunday, where they say ‘extremely high levels of carbon monoxide were found throughout the building.’
Residents of the 18-unit building on Albro Lake Road were evacuated. no carbon monoxide alarms were found.
The firefighters thank the quick-acting staff of the hospital for their life-saving actions.
