Buckingham Palace officials say Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II died this morning. He was 99 and would’ve turned 100 on June 10th.
Prince Philip spent a month in hospital earlier this year before being released on March 16th to return to Windsor Castle. He retired from public engagements in 2017 after carrying out more than 20,000 of them including some here to Nova Scotia.
Rest in peace Prince Philip.
