Huge congrats to Kori Cheverie from New Glasgow who’s been named the Professional Women’s Hockey League “Coach of the Year!”
She coached the Montreal Victoire to a first-place finish in the PWHL standings this past season.
Spryfield’s Troy Ryan as a finalist this year after he won the Coach of the Year honours last year with his Toronto Sceptres team.
Kori has also served as an assistant coach on Canada’s national women’s team since 2021.
Troy and Kori coached for Team Canada at the Rivalry Series here in Halifax last February 6th when Team Canada fell 2-1 in a shootout to Team USA in a very loud sold-out rink. Stellarton’s Blayre Turnbull with the Canadian goal.

Congrats Coach Kori!
