This week we highlight Buster with the Bide Awhile Animal Shelter for Furbaby Friday on Hot Country 103.5fm.
Buster is a cute and personable guy who wants to spend his days lounging around in the sun. He’s a lover of headbutts and chin scratches, and he has the gentlest purr you’ll ever hear.
He does have bone spurs which can cause discomfort when not managed, so he will require a home that is senior cat friendly (no large jumps; stairs are fine in moderation) and prefers not to be picked up, but would rather you come down to his level.
Due to his age and mobility, Buster would prefer a home with no other pets.
Buster’s Palliative Needs:
- Monthly visits to Bide Awhile for Solensia and B12 injections.
- Gabapentin (capsule) twice a day.
- Senior diet.
- Bi-Annual checkups and bloodwork with Bide Awhile’s veterinarian.
Through this program, these cats are able to live out their best retirement days in the comfort of a home while still having their medical care provided by the shelter. Fosters are only required to provide food, litter, and love.
