The Halifax Wanderers have reached a new milestone, drawing the largest crowd in club history at their last home match.
A total of 7,049 fans packed into the Wanderers Grounds, marking a new attendance record and showing growing support for the Canadian Premier League club.
That momentum now carries into a special exhibition game against Wrexham A.F.C.’s under-21 squad — part of the club’s international summer series. The match at the Wanderers Grounds is sold out, with over 7,000 fans expected to return to the stadium.
Wrexham’s youth team is touring Canada as part of a series of friendlies, including stops in Charlottetown and Saint John. The Welsh club gained worldwide attention after being purchased by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in 2021, and has since become the focus of the hit documentary series Welcome to Wrexham.
Tickets are still available for the upcoming matches in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, but Halifax fans have already made their enthusiasm clear with back-to-back crowds topping 7,000.
The Wanderers continue regular CPL play alongside the summer series, with hopes that the high turnout fuels success on and off the pitch.
