A new date has been set for the 2021 Halifax Pride Festival due to the pandemic.
The society revealed their decision in a Tweet on Wednesday to ensure the safety of the community after the recent surge in COVID-19 cases.
The festival was originally set to run July 15th-25th.
It will now take place August 12th-22nd.
We have decided to delay the 2021 Halifax Pride Festival until August 12-22. This decision was made to ensure the safety of our community due to the changing nature of the pandemic in recent weeks. The society says a full schedule of both in-person and online events will be announced in early July.
