Springhill, Nova Scotia’s Anne Murray has just released her new album called “Here You Are” after turning 80 this past June.
It’s remarkably her 33rd studio album that arrived this past Friday, September 5th.
The album features 11 never-before-heard songs that she recorded between 1978 and 1995.
The album’s cover, features an original painting by fellow Canadian Harley Brown, that was presented to Anne in 1971.
The album is a collection of hidden gems that, until now, remained untouched.
Some of the highlights include “Straight From the Heart” a cover of the Bryan Adams’ classic and featuring brand new background vocals by Anne and her daughter Dawn, and a guitar and pedal steel performance by her nephew Dale, so it’s a family affair.
