Nine people are facing stiff fines after police busted up a house party in Cole Harbour over the Victoria Day long weekend.
RCMP were called to a home on Bissett Road at about 9:35 p.m. on Sunday night.
Police say they heard loud music and could see strobe lights at the home and it’s estimated about 30 people were inside.
When the party-goers realized the officers were at the door everything went silent and police were not allowed inside.
Police waited nearby for people to leave and wrote up nine tickets for violating public health restrictions related to COVID-19.
More than $21,000 in fines were handed out in relation to the party and police say there could be more to follow as the investigation continue.
