From Game 3 of the ALCS last night in Seattle: DAA MARINERS LOSE!
Toronto Blue Jays fans in the stands proudly held the sign above after the Jays demolished the Seattle Mariners 13-4, that’s the kind of Jays team we know and love this season.
The sign was inspired after a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. post-game interview after the Jays eliminated the New York Yankees.
Canada’s team hit 5 home runs including a “Springer Dinger” from George Springer and Vladdy went 4 for 4 in front of 46,471 fans, with a good crop of Blue Jays jerseys in the ball park. There was a request for a “Springer Dinger” from a fan’s sign.
This was Toronto’s first ALCS road win since 1993, and you remember that was the the last year they won the World Series on October 23rd of that year when Joe Carter touched ’em all!
So the Mariners lead the series now 2-1 with game 4 tonight in Seattle as the Jays send 41-year-old Max Scherzer a.k.a Mad Max to the mound.
