Police are asking for the public’s help investigating a suspicious fire in Cole Harbour on Monday morning.
On X just before 5 a.m. on Monday, RCMP said Caldwell Road between Brookfield Avenue and Sherwood Street was closed as crews worked to extinguish a structure fire.
No one was injured but a building was destroyed in an early morning fire in Cole Harbour.
Police asked people to avoid the area.
Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency tells the Acadia Broadcasting newsroom that the retail building had been under construction, and it was a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Halifax Regional Police and the RCMP are asking anyone with dashcam footage of the Caldwell Road area, as well as Andrew Avenue and Millbrook Avenue, from 4 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. Monday morning.
