One of the ferry’s that runs out of Alderney is going to continue to be out of service for a few more weeks.
According to HRM, the Vincent Coleman is not expected to be back up and running until the end of February.
It means the ferry will continue to run every half hour on weekdays instead of every 15 minutes, 7 a.m. to 8:15 p.m., until further notice.
It has experienced a steering system issue and requires replacement parts that are coming from Europe. They are expected to arrive in two to three weeks.
The city says, once the parts arrive, they will still need to be tested.
