Canadian rock royalty was in town last night as the legendary bands Triumph and Waverley, Nova Scotia born April Wine played the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
April Wine opened the night with a forty minute set starting with Oowatanite.

Marc Parent the current lead singer, who was hand picked by Myles Goodwyn before his retirement, sounded just like Myles when you closed your eyes.

72-year-old Rik Emmett and Triumph hit the stage around 9:10pm and rocked the rink for an hour and a half with their staples like “Hold On,” “Lay It On The Line,” “Rocky Mountain Way,” that was like about ten minutes long, and their signature song “Magic Power” that was near the end of the show with about 5,000 fans there.

The Rock-N-Roll Machine Reloaded 50th Anniversary Tour continues tonight in Moncton before heading out across Canada.
Thanks for bringing back the memories!
