The discovery of 751 unmarked graves at Marieval Residential School in Saskatchewan has prompted a response from some politicians in our province.
Gary Burrill, Leader of the Nova Scotia New Democratic Party and Halifax Chebucto MLA, says the scale is grievous and tragic.
Darren Fisher, MP for Dartmouth-Cole Harbour, says it’s a terrible wrong.
Fisher says the federal government will continue to provide First Nations communities with funding and resources they need to bring these wrongs to light.
All of them say there’s much more work to do around reconciliation.
