Public Health is advising of potential exposure to COVID-19 at one Central Zone location.
Anyone who worked at or visited the following location on the specified date and time should book a COVID-19 test, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms. You can also call 811 if you don’t have online access, or if you have other symptoms that concern you.
For the following location, if you do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 you do not need to self-isolate while you wait for your test result. If you have symptoms you are required to self-isolate while you wait for your test result, as are the other members of your household.
- Atlantic Superstore (295 NS-214, Elmsdale) on June 18 between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, July 2.
Please note:
Do not go directly to a COVID-19 assessment centre without being directed to do so. Please book an appointment online or call 811 and do not go to a pop-up rapid testing location.
Nova Scotians also have the option to access their results online.
To be eligible to receive results online, by email, or by auto call, you need to bring a provincial health card or student ID with you to your testing appointment. It can take up to 72 hours to receive or access test results. It is not unusual for two or more family members to be tested at the same time and receive results at different times.
You can find a full list of all potential exposure notifications on NSHA website.
