A 22 year-old woman was air lifted to hospital following a crash on Monday morning just outside of Truro.
It happened shortly after 11 a.m. on Highway 104 in East Mountain.
Police say the driver of a car lost control and left the road.
The driver, a 23 year-old man, suffered minor injuries.
Police say distracted driving is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
The road was closed for several hours while the scene was investigated.
