In the beginning of 2020, the founders of HARVEST | A Farm-to-Table Eatery saw a need for a sustainably sourced local restaurant business model in Nova Scotia. The first HARVEST location opened on July 1st 2020 in Bedford and has a 40 foot shipping container which has been converted into a hydroponic farm and six months later, the downtown Halifax location opened their doors.
At HARVEST, they pride themselves in serving delicious salads, power bowls, paninis, wraps, smoothies and specialty coffees. All of these menu items are made from scratch daily and use local ingredients where possible.
By 2025, their goal is to become entirely self-sufficient and grow all of their produce hydroponically while educating our community on the farm-to-table movement.
