One of the province’s largest homelessness support groups is opening a new location.
Souls Harbour Rescue Mission launched a new 8 bed women and children’s shelter on the Eastern Shore Monday.
CEO Michelle Porter says she never would have dreamed that after just 10 years they would have five locations in the province.
“It was always our dream to have a home for women on the ocean.”
She says now that’s a reality.
The exact location is confidential to protect the women and children using the home.
