Halifax Regional Police charged 26 people with impaired driving offences last month.
Twenty-one were charged for alcohol-impaired driving, one was charged with impaired operation by drug, and four have been suspended from driving due to alcohol.
Police say nine of the drivers who provided breath samples were found to be at least twice the legal limit. Four people were charged for refusing to provide a breath sample.
Police received 13 calls last month from residents reporting possible impaired drivers.
They say if you suspect a driver is under the influence you should call 911 and provide details about the vehicle and where it was travelling.

• Drifting in and out of lanes
• Tailgating and changing lanes frequently
• Making exceptionally wide turns
• Changing lanes or passing without sufficient clearance
• Overshooting or stopping well before stop signs or stop lights
• Disregarding signals and lights
• Approaching signals or leaving intersections too quickly or slowly
• Driving without headlights, failing to lower high beams or leaving turn signals on
• Driving with windows open in cold or inclement weather
